i'm clearly insane

What an interesting two days...OK, not really, but it sounded good. Wednesday nite it starting to sleet and snow...pretty cool. Had a nice covering of some white stuff around, making everythign look nice and pretty. My Dad wakes me up Thursday morning and tells me a car spun out across the yard, and to come and look. It's about 7:15...So I get out of bed to go see whats up. Sure enough, someone lost control cresting the hill in front of our house, spun off the road, down our neighbors ditch (very steep and deep), across thier yard, across our driveway, hitting one of our trees, acorss the yard, then back up our ditch (again, very deep and steep) and onto the road. Somehow she didn't flip the car, she was lucky...not only did she not flip, she narrowly missed our neighbors mailbox, two telephone poles, and two big trees, and she coulda been hit while rentering the roadway...someone was watchign out for her. So one lane of the road in front of the house was shut down while everything was sorted out. Comes time to move the car, both lanes are shut down and my Dad and I help the police move the car off to roadway until the wrecker can get there. It's about 25 degrees with 20mph winds out there...kinda chilly. Wrecker comes and hauls off the car, never to be seen again. That was yesterday; Today it's ride-around-with-the-windows down weather...crazy.

Tried to find a brass gasline fitting for the carb on the dune buggy...no go. Tried a ricer shop down from the house, Home Depot, an import repair shot, a chopper shop, a import bike shop, and finally a fastener only place...nothing. Gonna have to end up going to a VW specialty place or something...Saw a real nice chopper at the chopper shop...Flat black tanks and fender, gloss black (hardtail) frame, gloss red wheels with chrome spokes, and a nicely polished and chromed engine. It's gonna be in Daytona for a photoshoot or something...it's a damn nice bike. There was also a bike there running the juice...talk about scary...

Oh yeah, the insane bit...I'm sitting here wearing an ear warmer in my nicely warmed house...

Oh yeah #2...my hairs got cut..goodbye Aston Kutcher hair, hello sexy mac daddy....

Oh yeah #3...another friend totalled his car...he'll hopefully be getting a 240SX, gonna do an SR20 swap...hope I don't jynx him.

The Passion of The Christ: Review

OK, this is a very serious subject, no no fuckin about. I'm only going to discuss the movie from a MOVIE point of view, not a religious one, I don't care what your religious stance is, all are fine by me. But regardless if you think Jesus Christ is your personal savious or not, he was a real man who endured an extreme amount of brutal torture, that is historically proven. With that out of the way, onto the movie. Being the movie focused on the last 12 hours of Christ, the movie was very graphic. Not just graphic for the same of being so like is so common now, but graphic for a point...extreme suffering. Just watching a mans flesh be ripped to shreds by two spiked whips (a cat-o'-ninetails of sorts), with his blood splattering about is enough to turn iron stomachs inside out. The crucifixtion scene did neraly make me sick to my stomach, not for the intensity of the burden, but for the intinsity of the gore. The acting was subperb; the extreme devotion of Mary and John; the betrayls of Judas and Peter; the moral conodrum of Pontious Pilot; the suffering of Christ; all were expertly portrayed and represented. I would not call this movie anti-Jew (forget the proper word, anti-semetic or something), but I would say it shows how a few INDIVIDUALS (who happened to be Jewish) went against Christ. The crowd agreeing with the High Preists is to be expected, don't slaughter the herd for the poor decisions of thier mouthpeice. I didn't cry, although it was a very emotional movie, but I would say nearly everyone else did cry at some point during the show. On an uninteresting side note, I actually understood half of what the Romans were saying, as they were speaking in Latin. Kinda surprised me, but kinda cool at the same time...didn't have to read the subtext the whole time. Bottom line, see it...it's a great movie about perhaps the most influential individual in the history of written time, just bring a barf bag if your stomach doesn't like to see gallons of blood and open wounds...oh, and a box of Kleenex, even if you don't need it, your neighbor will.

in this corner...pontius pilot.....in the other corner...jesus "the saviour" christ

Gonna go see The Passion of The Christ tomorrow...should be interesting. Going with my parents church, who rented out like 4 theaters or something, each with a 400 person capacity. I kinda do'nt wanna see it, but I kinda do, see what all the controvery and stuff is. I kinda don't cause, not really sure why...I kinda have the whole situation in my head, to see it in ful living colour might be a disgrace of somesort, or soemthing, not sure..hard to explain. Either way, it's a movie that will go down into history in some regard or another, and I'll be there on opening nite. Who knows, I might even meet a hot christian chick, maybe I'll get to show her the dark side...(I'm so going to Hell it's not funny, lol)

I also have a job now...working for my brother-in-law, handing out flyer and business cards for his business. Decent pay ($100/week+$10/day for gas+commission), flexibile hours, not really doing any work, not really dealing with customers or bosses for that matter....and I get to spend most my time riding around in my truck, rockin out to CDs...good times. Lowering kit here I come!

I also got second place in an international Photoshop contest. Not too bad if I do say so myself. The almost-winning chop was the SRT-10 one, in the wallpaper section. I took an early, massive lead (75% at one point), but then a late surge by another competitor knocked me out at the last moment. I'm not bitter at all, hell, I'm happy I even got any votes, much less second, lol.

Oh yeah, that speaker lighting I was talkin about...don't think it's gonna work. I think I damn blew up the transformer. It started off by crossing the + and -, at two seperate connections...then I accidently had my power and ground touching, before the transformer...it got the coil spring the hot lead was attached to red hot...whoops...eh, oh-well. I still love the idea and will do it with red EL wire, REAL red wire.

green wire to green, black wire to black, white wire to zaaaaaap

Been busy rewiring the shop overhead lights. Basically just rearranging them to more evenlly disperse the light. Doe no good when you got 4 of your lights in a 5 square foot space...Still got a few more lights to do, but man, it works so much better now when you got light everywhere.

That model ST I posted about a while back is back...been doing body work on it, shacing and smoothing. Pretty much done, just need some glazing compound to finish it off. What color whould I paint it? I kinda like the whie/blue scheme...

Added some speaker lighting to the Ranger....more on that to come...

don't feel so blue...

Some of you out there may like some bit of news I've got...Hopefully I"ll be developing a blue lense for the Explorer OHC, a retrofit that is populat among many Ranger owners. Some Ranger and ST owners have expressed an intrest in changing the color of the display from the ugly green to a nice, cool blue, espically after swapping out the other lights in the cabin to blue. If all goes according to plan, I should be reciving an OHC lense in the mail in a week or two to hopefully develop a blue retrofit lense, similar to the red lense I've done for my radio. I'm confident I can accomplish this task, although it may bit a more involved then my red lense for my radio. I'll of course keep yall (which is no one, bastards....lol) updated as to the progress, so stay tuned for that.

the tru7h will set you free

Just beat the Truth and Reconsiliation level in Halo on Legendary. Man, what a bitch that was. More sword toting Elites then I care to remember. Dunno how many times I died, half the time from my own damn Marines shooting me or tossing gernades at me, dang traitors...

Just in case you've never played Halo, or maybe just never played Halo on Legendary, let me tell you a bit about this level. This is considered the toughest level by a wide margin by many on all of Halo, and of many other games. Lets use some numbers: 1, just one of you, against 11ty billion aliens, 5.5ty billion of which are known as Elites, some very tough customers...and very good shots with very powerful weapons, 2/3 of the Elites are invisible, all of which carry a plasma sword, one swipe and your dead, much less your Marine buddies who do nothing more then die, some noninvisiable Elites carry the sword as well, and they are even worse then the invisible ones...as invisible ones are weak because of the invisiableness, a trade off if you will. Did I tell you about the Hunters? Hunters are these huge aliens, standing about 12' tall at full extension, why are very quick, very strong, use a very powerful weapon and a have a wicked left jab, and are very heavily armoured...but they are big pushovers, they have an easily hit spot that means instant death...but you've got to be at close range to do it. So in summary, 1 on 11tybillion of the baddest assed, most powerful and feared aliens in all the universe....This is Suicide indeed.

new site---done

It's finally 'done'...new site is up and running. The new address is tiger512.blogspot.com. So if your reading this and your not at that site, your not getting the whole page...go there instead, you'll still be able to read all of this stuff. Not much I can do abou the double banner ad, but it only appears on the main page, not the others...Enjoy.

14.2.04

almost done...yee-haw

Almost done with the site redo, got the main page 'done', should be down hill from there. I'm using a new, spiffier menu that cascades....spiffy. I'm also using some random content, the upper right hand pic specifically, hit refresh to see it change. I'm not still 100% decided on if I like the way it turned out. I like the lines and the randomness, but not sure about how to integrate the pics into the header....eh, I'll figure it out, let me know what would look good. All the links are working and should load in the main frame, but the spacing and all that is really messed up, have to still format those, will do tomorrow since I have no plans (V-Day sucks!). Dunno what else I'm gonna do, who knows, I kow I don't, yee-haw.

Preview

Eventually I'm gonna change the front page to the above address, don't worry, all other page's addresses will stay unchanged, so if you have a link to it, it'll stay intact.

13.2.04

new look on the way

Guys and gals, I'm working on a brand spanking new looking site...Will still have all the pages you love and know, just in a frame format, with a few other small changes. There are a few problems I'm trying to workaround, hopefully it won't be too much trouble. Hopefully the site won't have any downtime, I'm doing it all behind the scenes and will only update this site when I have it all working properly, no clue how long that will take however, so stay tuned.

if i had $1.1million, how would i spend it?

So I was looking in the Real Estate section of my local paper today, just for shits and giggles, and came across an interesting ad. 2.74 ACRE LOT in city limits of Fayetteville currently zoned RMF-15, commercial zoning feasable. Frontage 3 streets. $1,100,000. Over a freaking million dollars for just 2.75 acres in my town. Are you kidding me? Thats a lot of money, espically considering it's not commercially zoned, and knowing the county/city, it wouldn't be easy to get it changed. I knew lots around here were expensive, but I had no idea...

9.2.04

gotta job........sorta

I've been commisioned to do some Photoshop work for a friend of mine's webservice. I'm not exactly sure what he does, as I'm just the graphics guy, not the programers, anywho I'm gonna start by redoing the splash image for one site, then hopefully work on doing images for a few more accounts that are on the way. Not sure what I should charge, I've never done this before. OK, so I lied, this is actually my second time being commissioned (does that word have one s or two? I've spelled it both ways just to make sure...) for some Photoshop work, but the first time there wasn't any money invovled, just an exchange of services. I'm gonna need to start a Commissioned section on my Photoshop page before too long...yee-haw.

**UPDATE**
Just to let you nice folks in on a sneak peak of what I'm doing. The original is on the left, mine is on the right. Everything is done from scratch, although the horse and man I did use a template, otherwise I could never do a horse correctly, lol. I'm actually pleased with how the horseshoe turned out, first time really trying something like that, I think I acheived a sufficent level of 3D-ness from a 2D picture.

yummy, wallpaper

Got a new wallpaper up for you fine folks. It's a Photoshop of a new Dodge SRT-10. It's been changed a bit since the preview pic down below, I think I like the new version tons more. Quite a few things done to the Dodge, color, wheels, stance, panel van, etc, etc, etc...you know how it goes. You can find it here, and on the wallpaper page. Enjoy....

Dodge SRT-10 wallpaper

gingersnaps

I've got a mad, MAD craving for some gingersnaps. So I think I"ll go get some luckily I"ve got almost a whole bag calling my name in sensual, erotic lust...no wait, thats the magazines under my bed...what was I saying? I dunno. Something about food. I'm hungry. Too bad Taco Bell is closed. Damnit. I've got some gingersnaps though.....mmmmmm...those sound good, I think I"ll go get some.

This random thought brought to you my insomnia. Insomnia, all the cool kids do it, do YOU?

6.2.04

good. now turn and flex

Thought I'd do some offroading in my lowered, 2WD, open diff Ranger the other day. It flexed pretty well, more then I thought it would. I was spinning the left rear tire about halfway up, you can see that in the pics. Although I sure do miss my old 4WD sometimes, I sure do enjoy being low...just wish I were lower, lol. Maybe some Eibach springs are in my future, who knows...

More are here:

Driver side rear tire (evidence of the spinning tire can be seen, damn open diff)

viper powered wagon anyone?

Been working on a Dodge SRT-10 chop for a contest at some Denmark site, Swedish?, hell, I dunno. I'm not done with it, still gotta add brakes and work on some shadows, a little blurring and I should be 'done'. All other photoshops have taken a back seat to this one, sorry to anyone waiting....

Things done-
Wagon conversion
Two-tone (flat black/orange)
Jesse James wheels (.47 I think)
Smoothed and shaved...I love a shaved smooth ass
New fog light
Headlight tweak
Lowered ('bagged)
Radiused door corners
Tint
This and that....

Enjoy....clicky clicky
