you shall rue the day...

Why didn't anyone tell me how much body works absolutly, positivly, sucks ass? I do'nt even care enough that I misspelled those words even, screw it! So uh, yeah, I"ve been doing a lot of body work on the '66. You never realize how much you need to do until you do it. The body is still pretty much straight, but I'm cheerying the body out, making it as perfect as I can try to get it. That means block sanding by hand, finding the high and low spots, hammering the body straight, some more sanding to see if I got it, then when it's close, bondo, sanding, possibly more bondo if needed, sanding, glazing, sanding, primer...THEN take it out to the sunlight and check to make sure it's not wavy...if it is, repeat all of the above. Yay! Least I"m gonna be built like a mofo when i'ts all said and done, cause even though I've got air/power tools, soem of it still needs to be done by hand.

I've ordered teh parts I"ve been needing to finish my angel eye mod. HOPE that it comes in on Saturday, more then likely not...if it does, i'll mod on Sunday. If it doesn't, I"ll mod the night that it does come it. They should look bad ass...here's a preview, it's a quick and dirty Photoshop tho....(click for big)

type B+, stat

So a few days ago, last saturday I think, I cut my thumb open while workin on my mom's car...today it was getting healed up quite nice...so waht do I do? Cut my ring finger on the same hand down to bone. Didn't hurt, does now a bit, but it bleed like a bitch. Worse yet, I didn't get teh bolt I was working on at the time off...fuckin hell, so I get to try again...

Got a compressor, 8HP, 8 gallon, soemthing, electric with a 100psi upper rating. Perfect for my needs...so now I can finally use that spiffy air file I got for making the body work seem less like work.

I'll probably have some new pics of teh Ranchero up in a few hours, I mocked those Sable seats inside, look bad ass....

Those pics are a no go. My shit-tacular camera gave me shit-erriffic pics. But my latest doings include removing the vent windows on the door in preperation for a solid window, ran the cable for the mechnical entry system, removed both fenders to do some body work to them, mock-mocked the seats, and a few this-and-thats.

take a seat, put your feet up, stay a while

Today was a glorious day. For I spent the better part of it at one of every car-guys heavens; the junkyard. In the junkyard you can find treasured memories of a bygone era. It's a walk in history of sorts. Not to mention the last time I was at a junkyard I got my '66 Ranchero...lol. Today was no different...didn't walk away with as big of a catch, but still some catches still. Got some *censored* for the *censored* so that the *censored* will now *censored*. Sorry, I can't let go all my secrets...but I will tell you it came from an older BMW, not sure of the model, some sedan thing from the 80's. Still not a very good hint, but just you wait and see, it'll be kick ass. Other goodies include a set of black velour buckets from a 91/92 Mercury Sable. Real nice seats, No rips, tears, burns, or anything. Just a little dirty from being outside...oh yeah, the drivers side is full power (that works!), with the passenger side having power lumbar (also works!) and manual everything else. Also got a hood release from a Honda Accord...so now I"ll be able to open the drivers side door from the outside, that might be a good thing. Other goodies include a new dome light (maybe, may put it in the Ranger...where I want to put those seats, but they are black and so is the Ranchero dash...so, you know) and some new, custom looking window cranks. They are from a Ford Galaxie, but they look custom on the Ranchero, and thats all that really matters. I know I got some other things, just can't remember.

Oh, and that girl...well, I still don't know...she's harder to get a hold of then a greased pig, although she did email me in reponse to a message I left asking how she was....Email in response to a phone call, good or bad?? hmmmm...the questions of life that make us scratch our head and go insane.

(i can't think of a good title, so you get this)

I found out a good-kinda-something-more-but-not-really friend of mine had knee surgery on Friday, so tomorrow, I"m gonna head on up to her house and take her a get well present..+++ points for me. I was thinking about a small thing of flowers, but thats overrated and played out (not to mention expensive), and I can't get her a better gift then I"ll get my mom for Mom's day....I also got her a card, may get her a single flower too...dunno bout that. So yeah, I'm pretty excited about that, get to see her again, but chances are she'll be pased out from meds...thats fine too, it's the thought that counts. I'm such a romantic....We'll see how this whole things sorts out.

Buddy of mine recently got a 95 240SX, wants to do an SR20DE(T) swap, maybe by the end of this summer. That'd be totally kick ass.

Work on the Ranchero continues...although not this past week. I said screw the damn thing and took a week off. Body work does that to ya. This week will be cut chort aswell, for the above mentioned reason (+++ points).

I was at the gas station the other day, getting some gas (duh...) and these two sport bike riders pull up into the two pumps beside me, a Honda 700CBR and a Kawisaki something, 750 Ninja I think, anyway, this isn't about what they were riding, this is about the two hot chicks in a nice Honda Civic who were totally all over them. Kinda funny, the guys on the bike were just kinda liek blowing them off, but they were totally all over thier nuts...didn't even give my truck a second glance, they suck. If I had bags and some wheels....hmmmm...

One Side Zero kicks ass....

few new thingys

I've added a new wallpaper that I've been working on, a Ford Territory. It's an SUV sold only in Aussie land...I did my usual tweaks to it. I tried to make this one show some action, think I did that pretty well...It's slammed, sparkin, rollin 18's, HID headlights (R34 Skyline lights actaully), shaved, smoothed, grille, tint, etc, etc. I'm actually really diggin it...but we'll see how much that changes in two weeks.

I'm also gonna start adding pics to the project page of others who have done my projects...first up..blue radio mod...check it out-

all things considered

Ever have one of those days where a lot of little things just go right and it ends up making the day go by really fast and plesant? Today was like that. Got up at like noon...always a good sign...went, got my hairs cut...had some lunch at Pizza Hut, saw a couple hot girls, went back to the house, shot some Flood with a 12 gauge in Halo, ventured to the ghetto, got a new magazine (not in the ghetto, on the outskirts, lol), came home, blasted some Covie's and Flood with a 12 gauge, worked on my model Sport Trac, helped my dad tear apart my moms engine to see why a cylinder had no compression (turns out the piston has a hole in it, normally the sign of a dropped valve, but not this time [more good news]), and the cat came back home...so all things considered it was a pretty good day. Just thoght yall might wanna know in case you had a sucky day at work.

kinda new stuff

Updated a few pages, Ranchero exterior, Ranger exterior and Ranger sound. Still holding out for a new cam....

ouch my nose...

Well, no new digi-cam, so no new pics, yet. Although I did attend a Sport Trac meet at a local dealership and I know some people grabbed some pics of a few things there...so I"ll have some up in a day or two of somethign or other.

The meet was pretty fun. Started out Friday nite at Pizza hut. Got some grubbin, met some folks, and generally just had a good time. It was nice to be able to put a face or two with the names you read on message boards. Everyone was real nice, not nearly as loud and obnoxious as my 'regular' friends, but we still know how to turn a resturant out and have a good time. After the meal (medium pepporioni and bacon, yum yum) we went out to the parking lot, BSed, but it was windy. SO a few of us took a side trip to a closed down movie theater parking lot to do a small engine mod to a buddies truck. Not sure exactly what was going..wasn't really paying attention and was two busy gabbing like a girl. Let's call it a nite, we all have to be up early tomorrow.

Saturday it is. My truck is nice and clean, wheels are bling (factory 15", hell yeah), paint is a nice orange/red mettalic with a hint of pollen yellow, and I'm ready to go. Get to the dealership and after a while, the folks start coming in. All total there were 25+ trucks, and 35+ people. People coming from all over the east and south east, Kentucky, South Carolina, Flordia, Tennessee, etc...not to bad for a meet that started with about 7 local people, 5 trucks 4 years ago on a blustry December day. There were just so many people to talk to that you couldn't get around to them all, which is really a shame. I mean, you go up to someone, start talkin, and before you know it, 30 mins have gone by...not complinaing in the least bit, but with 35 people, you end up missing a few. And all of them are worth talking too. The Ranger was a big hit (slight exaggeration, but it was a hit), folks loved the loweredness, and the seats, and the suede, and the grille. Spend about 5 hours at the meet before heading out. Got some redness, but that'll be a nice golden tan by the morning...sometimes I love being part Native American, lol. All in all I had a great time, as well I think everyone else did, can't wait to do it next time.
