So, I've got a bit of thinking to do. What should I buy? What shouldn't I buy, shoudl I even spend my measley pay check, or just hang onto it for a rainy day. Perhaps I should hold back 10% for a rainy day and splurge the rest....eh, who knows. Although if I do decide to splurge some of my money, I have to decide what to spend my moola on. Here, for your review are my current ideas:

Sound system; ~$1690°°
Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-P8600MP: ~$370°°
Multichannel Amp: Polk Audio/MOMO C400.4: ~$450°°
Mono Sub Amp: Polk Audio/MOMO C500.1: ~$450°°
Component Speakers: Polk Audio/MOMO MM6: ~$300°°
Sub: Polk Audio/MOMO MM2104: ~$120°°

Laptop:
Hewlett-Packard zx5180us: ~$1600°°

Desktop:
Hewlett-Packard a566n: ~$1100°°

Now, the sound system is pretty much set, except for the speakers and sub, I haven't really decided on those, and $300 is a gross overestimate...I've seen similar speaks (stil Polk/MOMO at HiFi Buy's for much cheaper. I also didn't account for any installation supplies, taxes, or shipping charges...although most of the stuff I can get local. I also haven't price shopped and compared either. Now, the laptop and desktop I"m most finiky on. I'd love to have a big 17" laptop, but if I'm buying a new computer, it MUST have at least 500 megs of RAM, 1gig preferred, a BIG hard drive, and a MUST is a DVD+RW drive. To get all of that in a 17" lap top costs well over $2000...ouch. Now, I don't really need a laptop, having one would just be cool, a desktop would work just as well. And for a lot less money, I can get a whole lot more. I already have a monitor (no printer, don't need one), so I can save some money there. I've already bought me a new PS2 to replace my old, broken one, so from here on out, I've got my eyes on the prize...hopefully.
