gonna get my ass reamed, shot, raped, stabbed, shanked, etc, etc.

Oh man....talk about being on the wrong side of the tracks...Went to dinner with a buddy of mine who was in town from Miami, then met up in downtown Atlanta with some buddies from Rhode Island who flew in. Went to the bar/resturant in the hotel the RI folks were staying at..real swanky place across teh street from the Famous Fox Theater. This is a fairly to-do area, lots of cop presence, both uniformed and UC (undercover). First we couldn't find the damn place, I was following my buddy (don't ask me why, I shoulda been leading since I know ATL and he didn't....but, we're dumbasses) and we got split up. So I"m in the far left lane, he's in the far right lane and he pull sover onto the sidewalk wondering where I was....somehow he gets back on to the road...we're on Peachtree Street, the heart of Downtown, on a Friday nite, 10pm....We're lost. He pulls around a block, I spot him and follow. We ask a cop where to go, so we finally get to where we need to be.

Drink, eat, bullshit, good times. Now it's time to leave. Both buddy and I need to go to about the same place, so we leave together, but promptly are seperated. So now I'm not exactly sure how to get back to the interstate, as the exit we used in a one way street...In order to get back on the interstate from where we were, or at least the only way I knew how, was to take Peachtree down to Memorial Dr (read: seedy part of town). Well, I'm not paying attention and miss my fucking turn...well great. So about 5 blocks on the wrong side of Memorial, I pull into a gas station. As soon as I get out, "Hey man, wanna buy some socks? Two pair $5." I'm not in Kansas anymore...Go in and get directions...as I'm walking out a guy asks where I"m going, I tell him (like a dumbass), and he gives me false directions, and tries to make me look away to swipe my shit. I know better, so I put all my shit in my buttoned pockets before I got out....but he wants some money, and he's hiding his right hand from me and is leaning in towards me with his left side, like he's hiding something. I'm not packing, not even a damn knife...so I give him a dollar that was stiffed in my pocket (I'm a HUGE dumbass), he isn't happy, asks if I got change in my truck...nope, nothing but pennys...finally I get by and make it to the truck. I was ready to throw it down if he pulled something on me, but I was lucky and he didn't.

As I pull out of the gas station, waht do I see? A cop sitting across the street. I coulda jsut asked him for directions if I knew he was there and save myself a lot of trouble. I make it back to the interstate and home with no further incident, other then the huge fucking pot hole I hit on Memorial and almost missing my turn again. Jeeze, I don't even know what I"m gonna do with me. Almost had my bro-in-law come and fetch me and lead me home. Me thinks I need a navigation system....

Buddy form Miami also gave me some nifty PlasmaGlow Xenon headlights. Love the look of em...that stock shit was just not cutting it...well, it never did cut it to be honest. Too bad my headlight aligment is fubar'd and I can't see shit in fromt of me...yee-haw. Pics forthcoming.

if I were a bird.....

Yee-haw, working suckors. Working 12+ hour days, 7pm-7am. I do like the early get-off time, although I wish it were a 10pm start time, That'd be nice. Today I worked all the way to 8am...Man, I'm raking in the overtime. Sad thing is, I'm making the same straight pay then I was working OT before...doing the exact same job. I"ll also be getting paid bi-weekly instead of weekly, but I'm guessing that my check will easily be 4 times what it was. Damn. Just a lil' close to that 64-65 Lincoln Continental Convert....I'm tellin you, I'm gonna get one, and I'm gonna pimp it. And I will be cool, like hell yeah. Imagine that, I'll have a gangsta pimp cool car, an old school tricked-to-hell and back 'hot rod', and my modern low-slung truck. Keep an eye out...you never know what's around the next bend...

eeeeeeyaw........eeeeeeeeyaw

Went and had my physical and drug test today for the job...I assume I passed both. Doc said I was in great physical shape, so that's cool. He also diagnosed a bump under the skin on my left calf...turns out it's a type of hernia, but no big deal. Apparently I ripped the membrane that encases the calf muscle and when flexed, the muscle bulges out a bit. No biggie, unless it gets really bad, then it'll be surgically fixed.

I picked up a set of Mustang Bullitt/Mach 1 pedals for the Ranger. They cost about the same as a good set of aftermarket pedal covers, but unlike aftermarket, I actually like these. I don't like them as much as Lexus IS300 pedals...but these still kick ass. Speaking of kicking ass, (I shall reign forever as the king of the transition, bitches) the brake pedal nearly kicked my ass. I had to remove about 3/4" of material from both sides, and about 3/8" from the bottom....this is 1/8" solid stock steel, with an embossed strength-diamond. I didn't have the proper blades for the power tools, so I had to hack through the metal by hand with a hacksaw...what a bitch, holy shit. But, in the end, they look kick ass, no one else has em, so it's worth it in the end.

all things considered, we're screwed

Hmmmm....I think I may need to update my stats, cause according to my most recent measurements, I'm a bit lower then currectly represented. Had someone with a 2001 XLT 4x2 regular cab take soem wheel well measurements, and comparing his to the ones I took yesterday (today? hell, I dunno), I'm sitting at a 6" drop up font and 5" drop in the back. Niiiiiiiiice. I've got a pic of stock hieght around here somewhere, scary to see how tall it was, a wonder I didn't get nose bleeds.

Ah, yes, found a pic of a basically stock truck already online:

At that point all I had done were grille, seats, and fogs...possibly interior painting as well.

And here's one taken the day I got the tires, nice and low:

21.8.04

if you want to live to see tomorrow...don't be a front tire on my truck

Holy shite....-3° og camber on my front tires...yes, -3°. That's a whole heckuva lot of lean in...Luckily, the aligment shop was able to take half of it out to bring it to -1.5°, factory spec is -.5°, so we're a lot clsoer then before. He adjusted the toe in slightly out to compensate and to try to get a more even wear pattern. While up at the shop, found the tire that's going on the rear, a Kumho Ecsta 711. It's a high-performance oriented type tire, with unidirectional tread...so that means no more tire rotations, well, that was out of the window any how, two different sized tires front to rear, but I won't be able to swap them side to side either. Being they are in the back, that shouldn't be that big o' deal. I mean, it is a measly 3.0 so I'm not out burning rubber around every corner and from every traffic signal. It's gonna be a meaty tire, a 225/50R15. Tread width of, I belive, about 8". Nice and wide contact patch. It's a good lookin' tire, will look right nice under the rear end of my Ranger. Also snagged two 14" tires, 195/70R14 I think for the Ranchero. Not sure how old the tires on it are, so it's a good idea to get some new ones, even if they are used. They were obviously front tires froma FWD car, as the insides are worn a little more then the outside edge, but that's all good.

um....that curb jumped out at me, i swear

Holy shite...get a knock on my door at like 7.45 this morning...it's my Dad, "Com'on, we need new tires on the truck", "What you do, blow one out?", "No, but we've got cords showing". Wonderful....time to finally get soem new tires and get down to the ground a lil' more. The front inside of the tires were worn...bad...cords showing on both. Get down to the tire shop and find a good sized tire...a little smaller then what I was actually looking for, but it's got a nice tread and sidewall look...and since my Dad was paying, and those were the tires he wanted, those were the tires we got, lol. Stock size is 225/70R15, maybe it's only a 220...something, forget right off hand...but we slapped some 205/55R15's on the front only...While the section width is smaller, the tread width is wider as the shoulders are fairly squared off. The tire looks a little too small, espically comapred to the back tires, but it doesn't look THAT bad. Here soon we'll replace the rears with a smaller tire as well...probably a wider, 235/50R15 or something...a tire slightly larger then the fronts to keep the coll rake we've got now. The new tires have brought the front down an additional 1", actually 1.25" on the LF, lol. That's a lot when you get closer and closer to the ground. Also wanted to get an aligment done, but the truck wouldn't go onto the rack...it was getting high centered, and this was before the new tires, lol. So tomorrow I'll have to go down to a shop with a lower lift...lets just hope it's a lot lower.

Also, I should be starting back at my old job here pretty soon. The Engineer called me and asked if I wanted to work...since I've got bills (just a cell phone, but still) and there are still things I want to buy...I went ahead and took the job. I'll be almost be making more on straight pay then I was before with OT...so that's cool. I almost hate to admit it, but I kinda missed the job...I liked the routine of getting up and going to sleep at certain times. As much as I love not having a job, I do like having money...lol, so wahttaugonnado? Maybe now I can finally get me a '64-67 Conti convert...hmmmmmmm.......

Better watch out for those coke cans....I've got only ~4" of front valance clearance now...kick ass.

this thong is riding up on me

So I've been detailing the engine bay of my '66 the past few nites, and I"d run across an interesting detail....Apparently, it's an 'all original', numbers matching machine. Non old-car buffs may not reconize the significance of that, but the buffs will. Basically matching numbers means that the car was not involved in a significant enough frontal accident to need the core support to be replaced...which in most cases, doesn't take a very severe accident. It also means that the same engine and transmission that were installed in the factory are still in there. This can be a big deal for rarer cars, like K-code Galaxies or GT500 Shelby Stangs and the like, but for the '66, it's just soemthing kinda cool. I also launched a feder clip while grinding tonite...no clue where the hell that thing went...I think I need to find it, lol.

14.8.04

you are right, kenny

Hey, got a new car domain site up...not really sure why, but I've got it up....hmmm, I'm crazy....yes, yes I am.

Went out and bought SOCOM II: US Navy SEALs today....damn good game so far...just what I was looking for.

Also bought a personal respirator and a full face shield for working on the Ranchero...so I spent a lot more money today then I really wanted too...more then I really should've actually....doncha hate it when you only think of obligations AFTER you've spent the money? So is my situation....nice.....luckily my parents kick ass and will cover me, lol.

i'm home occifer, take me drunk

Had a little hiccup with the wallpaper section, dunno WTF caused it, but it's fixed now, so no worries. And speaking of wallpapers (nice little segway...), I've got a new up and posted. It's a mild version of a Chevy SSR. I've still got a few versions in the works, a race version and a 'rat rod' version...this version wasn't even supposed to see the light of day, but some how, it did. I rather like it.

Click for full size, my wallpaper is of course in my Others>Wallpaper section of the 'site...

Changes, changes, most are not obviously apparent, but there are a lot, but not a lot at the same time. Most of the changes are jsut touch ups that add to the whole picture, and aren't really worth mentioning, but time consuming nonetheless. Most obvious is the black/red two-tone and wheels. Speaking of the wheels (I'm the king of the segway, bitches), they are from a Saleen S7, and the rear is deep dished...by hand, by MY hand, lol. The rear fender has received a large extension. The suspension has been lowered and the body shaved/smoothed, and the convertable top has been welded on to make a true coupe. The grille has been eliminated and the opening shurnk to mimick the horseshoe grilles of Chevy's past; a black mesh has been installed to keep small furry creatures out. The headlights have been color corrected as well. Lots of other touches and such, but not worth mentioning...although they do dramatically enhance the pic....There you go, look for other versions soon...then again, maybe not, who the hell knows with me...

of matter of the stinky stinky

Was just talking to my Dad about the cluterfuck that he calls work...holy sheot, things are just crazy. They had to bring in $1 million worth of dry ice to help keep the rooms cold enough to not lose all thier product. Yes, $1,000,000 worth of ice...count it, 6 zero's. Now, since this is dry ice, it displaces oxygen as it sublimates from a solid into a gas, so my father and his boss are having to be on air when handling and moving this stuff. Since the disaster everyone (at least shop guys) have gone to 12-hour shifts, 6-6. Yesterday he had to remove all the ice from the back dock (~6 rooms, forget the exact number, with one room being 2.5x normal size), that meant 10 hours of being on oxygen. Full-face-mask,-breather-tube,-tanks-on-your-back-contained-atmosphere-breathing 10 hours of fun. The oxygen levels in the rooms are at about 16%, well below the limit of asphyixiation. There is all kinds of additional equipment around, and all kinds of guys....30 scissor lifts, 10 gas powered lifts, at least 7 40 yard open top dumpsters, etc, etc, etc. But hey, at least they will be getting a complete new front office, the whole warehouse will be cleaned top to bottom, everything will get a new coat of paint, and in the end, it will look like a new place. As far as disasters go, this one didn't turn out that bad, no one was killed, nor seriously injured. It's gonna end up costing the company millions, but that's better then having to make that phone call to someone's wife and children telling them daddy isn't coming home. Holy shit, what a downer of a ending note....um, yeah...

dreaming of all things with boobs and nakkie

I think I may have an unearthly obession with pancakes. I was looking through my post archives, and apparently, I've made two posts with the word 'pancake' in the title....i'll lie in the floor in the fetal position and think about pancakes, and my most recent post from yesterday, pancake! pancake! pancake!. Indeed. Am I secretly attracted to those soft, fluffy, baked brown to perfection confections of breakfast? Maybe it's the hot, juicy, tasty, sticky syrup. Insane. Indeed. I've also only use one song quote, like orgasmatron on overdrive, which is of course from Incubus's Nebula, from S.C.I.E.N.C.E., one of the best modern rock albums. If you don't have it, why the fuck not? Seriously, pick it up, and all of Incubus's other albums, oh, and all of Rage Against the Machine's albums, except Renegades...it's pretty much nothing but covers, and it's not that good. All the good songs from it are on Live at the Grand Olympic Auditorium live CD, and the lvie versions blow the studio versions away....although if you can find it, the Austranlian import of Renegades (which I have..HA) does have the live version of Cyprus Hill's Kick Out the Jams, which features bothe Rage and one of the guys from CH. So yeah, download that song and your set. Wait, how did this get away from pancakes? Pancakes are good. Pancakes are great. I'm insane. But at least I know it. The real question is: do you?

pancake! pancake! pancake!

Ever hear that old adage that high school friendships never last? Sadly, I'm finding that to be true. I graduated two years ahead one of my very best friends, or so I thought....While we were both in school we had great interaction, talked or saw each other nearly everyday, even over breaks and vacations....we just clicked. But, I graduated and that all changed. Now she's graduated (yes, it's a chick...I'm not that accomodating towards my guy friends...assholes, lol) and will be moving off down south some distance to go to college in a week. I fear that will be the straw to break the camel's back. I've made lots of efforts to salvage the sinking ship of friend, but she is not responding very well, although she says she will. Actions speak louder then words, but fuck it. I'm not a pessimist, more of a realist, but sometimes, you just don't want to face the music and accept the truth. Life sucks, and the you die, and then, well, your dead and that's that. Pity party for me! Yay! I'll bring the chips and dip and plates, you bring the cake...and as always, BYOB, and NO PARTY FOULS.

I'm pretty much redoing the site again...now that I"ve got a good camera to take pics with, I'm replacing all my old, crappy pics with new, clear pics where you can actually tell what the hell is going on....expect some red x's along the way. -----edit.....OK, I'm done f'n about. I compiled a few pics into one, removed some pics and other stuff...will get better nite pics soon.

Submitted for your approval, and an exclusive (or soemthing, hell, I forget), my newst model ST mod, HID AND projector lookalike headlights. Yes, they are badass, I'm badass, they're cool, so am I, and yee-haw. OK, OK, my selfpromotion aside, I"ll let the pics speak for themselves.

Unlit...sure do look like projectors, huh?

Lit pics...the further away ones were a bit blurry...but these look badassed enough, so quit yer bitchin'...

And finally, the power...that's a full 6 volts...and it all fits under the hood. Notice how the hood has been removed from it's hinges...I got plans for that...

shazaam, shazaam, shazaam

Ah yes, my old friend and adversary, the Photoshop. I haven't done any PS projects for a long while now, but since I"ve suddenly got all kinds of time on my hands, I though I might diddle into the wonderful land of the Photoshop again. I'm not sure if I"ve lost my touch or not, but I'm having not trouble getting the program to do the thigns I want. A shame I keep choosing low-res pics to chop...make for crappy desktops, which is the primary purpose behind most of my chops. For your enjoyment, a rare, behind-the-scenes look at my latest chop in progress...a 1966 Lincoln Continental convertable (I misspelled that, I know, can never spell it right for some reason). My plan was to actually start saving up for one of these mad ass mother fuckers...but, yeah, plans have a tendency to quickly fall apart when they get near me. Anyway, enjoy the pics....remember is IS a work in progress...am open to any suggestions. The pics are resized to 50% as well.

Saw Shrek 2 today...not to bad, good for adults and children alike. Also bought Chappelle's Show season 1 on DVD....funny ass shit right there...milk will soon by floying from my nose.

4.8.04

i feel pretty, oh so pretty

Took this shot yesterday of my truck....love how it turned out. My new camera is really impression me. Granted, I did 'enhance' the shot inside Photoshop some, but the essential, gritty pic is all my truck in all it's glory...yee-haw...

rinky rinky

And the latest report on my old work is this, no less the 8 dock doors were blown completly off the building...these thigns are held on with two high tensile strength, air craft cables. Two large rool up doors on both sides of teh rail dock are blown off, these doors measure about 20'x15' and very heavy. Intial, very low ball damage estimate is $3 million...not including product. Two rooms of product are total losses, as those two rooms caught on fire...the doors on teh rest of the rooms are closed and temps are not critical...yet...real damage repair costs will probably be closer to $5 million...

3.8.04

um...daymn...somethings just suck.

Remember where I used to work? That cold storage place? Yeah, well, three was a bit of an accident there today...apparently there was some maintaince work going on on one of the ammonia compressors, maybe a line wasn't valved off or something, but apparently something was dropped, not sure what or onto what, but this caused an explosion, blowing the roof off most of machine room 1 (the big one). An ammonia line burst, sending out around 2,000 lbs of ammonia into the air. This sparked a 2 alarm blaze. Much of the area was evauated, including some residential areas. Two people were injured form ammonia inhalation, no word on if they worked for us or if they were firefighters, but all company employees have been accounted for. Holy shit...somethings are just a little fucked up...

Copy and paste for the news story....this thign isn't playing nice and doesn't want to link like it should: http://www.wsbtv.com/news/3610476/detail.html

don't worry, lunch is on me

Here's two pics of that badass Ram I saw...

That's it for now, nothing else exciting.

1.8.04

are you sure this is legal? i dunno, but it sure is fun, isn't it?

So um...got soem new goodies for the Ranchero (which reminds me, I guess I need to add some more pics to that section........hmmmmmmmmm), anywho, had some wheel tubs fabricated. The wheel well is made in such a way that stock is very, VERY ugly, and a universal kit won't work, so we got some fabricated for us...oh man, tehy look great. Will ahve to do some tweaking to get them to fit and look perfect, but that's expected.

Also got that itty bitty phone, and man, it's itty bitty. It was the one and only the store had, that's how new to the market it is, lol. But that's kinda cool, I'll be unique for a week or two anyway. Although, come to find out, my phone is an Asian import and not the one that is supposed to be sold in the States. My first clue was when I was messing around writing an text message and I was changing how it input the letters and I switched it into, what I belive to be, Arabic. I also noticed that some of teh way words are spelled, like colour, and the default date was DD/MM/YYYY and 24 hour time. See, my phone is a G51M, go to the Panasonic website and the only US model is the G51U...And in the rest of teh world the G51M and G51E are sold...the M is for metal and for guys, the E is for elegance and for ladies (comes in pink or yellow). Eh, fuck it...my phone is cool, yours isn't, so there.

As soon as I can, I'll upload some pics of this sick ass Dodge I saw while out and about yesterday...

Stock wheel wells...notice the uglyness and cluttered bed....and what else is that in the bed??? stay tuned...:

Wheel wells....looks much better...(cept for the bed clutter):
