mmmmmmm, online goodness

Finally got both my PS2 and XBox online...well, the XBox isn't yet, as I don't have my LIVE subscription yet, but I will next week. Anywho....also got Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on Friday. Pretty fun game. I tend to follow the missions and do very little side stuff until I'm done with the missions (or get stuck), so I haven't really had that much fun with it as far as getting cops to chase me and whatnot. Although I was flying a jet and was shot out of the sky for no aparent reason by the Army. I've mainly been playing SOCOM: II online, I go by the name of Head Cold...look me up and kill me sometime, I suck. I'm doing it wireless style...like a true playa playa....or something. Kinda sucks sometimes, the lag that is. But, I'm ready for Halo 2 now...that was my main motivation to get it up and running.

Hmmmm...when my father and I brain storm, it usually means that one of our vehicles is in for a treat. Our latest ventrue is the Ranger. Now, i've been seriously thinking about NOT getting a new car, and isntead, dropping the money into the Ranger. Be cheaper in the end, and not nearly as many hassles. I really, REALLY want an '05 GTO, but I know my limits. Now, our plans are for a bagging, custom interior (COMPLETE cutom), shaved, smoothed, etc. Now, not just your generic 4-link, bag over axle bagging, we're looking to do a double canti-lever design. The bags will be mounted horizontally, and the axle/frame will move up and down. And the frame...instead of c-notching, we might just do a custom cab-back tube chassis. Flat tubing laid on it's side, with the axle on top of the frame...meaning no c-notch, monster lift, and all kinds of room for magnesium drag blocks. Now the tricky part is shock mounting and such, but details, details. That's it for now...off to the bank for some cizash...

turkey day in t-minus......damnit, too damn long

Well, that "friend" of mine from high school and I are definatly getting together over the Turkey Day holiday....and I simply cannot wait. This event supercedes even the release of Halo 2, sorry Master Chief and Cortana, you don't hold a candle in this competition. I may be a geek, but I do have priorities, lol. What a doozey of a time it will be...

Now I feel like 'my' shop is an actaul shop, scored a steal of a deal on an air compressor over the weekend. My father and I've been wanting to get a big air compressor for sometime now, just couldn't afford it. Well, my mom and he stumbled across a 60 gallon, 7 HP, nearly new Craftsman compressor at a yard sale on Saturday.......$175. That's easily a $400-$500 compressor. The guy moved here not too long ago and didn't have a place for it...so he had to unload it. Now all we need is a lathe, mill, plasma cutter, torch, MIG welder, english wheel, power hammer, drill press....and um...time...a few inches of space would be helpful as well.

dead? no....not yet

Nope....I'm not completly dead yet. But I have been slacking on here. I'm off from work today cause I'm not feeling good. I think these long hours and little sleep has finally caught up to me. Two and 1/2 or there-abouts of on average, 12:45 days, 5 days a week, and only about 6 hours of sleep a nite (or day as it is)...so I'm at home.

I've been doing soem thinking though....do I really want a new GTO (YES!) and deal with all the hassles that entails (NO!), or do I really just want a pimp ride? Well, if I take the money I would spend on the GTO and drop some of it into my truck, then it'd be pimper then hell. Excuse the half-good photoshop...But it's bagged, 17" Amp Tech 9 wheels, Hella 90 mm HID projector units where the stock turn signals go, shaved, tint, and maybe a few other things. I figure all of that would cost me about $5000....and then I have to include the killer system, flase bed floor, fuel cell and many other do-dads. It'd be pimp as hell, a definite show winner. Add that to the '66 and there are two pimp rides. Eh...who knows. I really would love a new, pimp, fast, powerful GTO.....but....who knows. Hmmm...then I could get a '39 Ford truck to rat rod....eh, who knows. I'm worse then a woman.

And speaking of women, I'm hoping I'm making strides in that department. Been speaking with a friend of mine from high school who's now off in college. Well, we've been speaking over email....I really miss her, she really misses me, we want to see eacch other, you know how it goes. So hopefully he before too long, at least by Turkey Day, we'll get together and then we'll see what happens then. Probably nothing.....but my truck IS pimp, and you can never underestimate a pimpin' truck.....lol.

it's the freakin weekend and i'm gonna have me some fun

I'm bad...but I had to reward myself. Makes all these long hours seem worthwile. But in the grand scheme of things, I haven't lsot any ground towards my GTO, but instead, gained some. As now I'll have the headunit to put in it the day I get it home. Cause I'm still getting my damn GTO, count on that.

So what did I do? Bought me an in-dash DVD unit. This summabitch is badass too....7" fully motorized screen, touchscreen with something called "PulseTouch", basically the screen vibrates and clicks when you touch it, so it feels like real buttons, not just a flat screen like all the others; DVD player, CD, AM/FM, MP3, WMA, and tons of other stuff I haven't figured out yet. I can't get it to play DVD movies yet, as I haven't bypassed the parking brake engaged feature. Even with the unit wired up correctly, the procedure to watch movies or acess set-up screens is insane...press teh foot brake, engage the parking brake, release the parking brake, engage the parking brake, release the foot brake, release the parking brake....what the hell is that bullshit? I goot bypass that mess....It features dedicated Navi and rear camera inputs....which I'll add with the GTO, espically the camera...that thing is a beast to back-up, don't even know why there is a reaview mirror. This is gonna be fun...

Saw somethign interesting on Ford's web site. Apparently Sport Trac owners a whores and sluts. Look on the right side, under the 510 watts heading..."An aavailable audio system that puts out as much as you do." So either I'm reading it wrong, or Ford thinks we're all sluts who 'puts out' a lot. Nice....

So I got it ALL figured out now....Since car dealers don't want to deal with me cause I don't have credit, and I"m not walkign in with money falling out my ass, I'm gonna wait about 6 months or so to buy new. But I will be buying a 2005 GTO. They aren't even out yet, so by the time they do come out, I'll have some cash on hand to get one. But in the meantime, I'm establishing credit to help me out. So when I go back into Pontiac in 6 months or so, I can plop $10,000 in cash down onto the table, plop down my perfect credit score and tell em "I want that car, for this amount. Do it."

The trip to Mazda wasn't as fruitful as I'd have hoped. Found a super nice RX-8. Real nice color, called Nordic Green...a kinda greyish-greenish color, black/tan leather interior, moonroof, HIDs, navigation, 18" wheels, etc, etc, etc. It drove real nice...strange power delivery though. Wasn't used to the rotary engine noise, but it was muffled down a whole lot as well. Still a nice car. It was also a dealer demo...so I'm thinking "chac-ching"...$5000 off for it being an 04, AND a few grand off for being a demo...it had 5600 miles, a few dings and a few scratches. Well, the finance guy was saying "only a few hundred off" for it being a demo. Fuck that. That's a used car, I don't care if it's never been titled before or not, it's a damn used car, I'm not paying full price for a used car. "Well sire, you're getting $5000 off, that's a blow-out". I'm gettin that on EVERY 04, so look at the MSRP of an 04, take 5 G's off, THATs full price...and I'm not paying that price for a used fuckin' car. Well, he wasn't budgeing, and neither was I. So fuck him, fuck Mazda, I'll get the car I really want.

Now, I could be driving a 2004 Adrenalin ST right now....Went to Ford after Mazda. They had an 2004 Fire Red Adrenalin sittin on the lot. I knew they did, cause I looked it up online. But, the online truck was a lil' different then the real truck. It was missing a few options, options that were the only reason I was looking at it. Basically it was a stock Adrenalin, no leather, no mooroof, no cage, no bed cover...cloth seats, fogs, 510 watt stereo and that's about it. But still, I was/am getting a helluva a deal on it. MSRP is right at $29,000, I can get into for around $22,000 out the door. I could be driving it right now, the salesman was really pushing it onto me, but while it was a nice truck, it was lacking almsot everythign I wanted. And freankly, I'm sick of the interior. It's nice, but I've been looking at teh same damn interior for too damn long. And it jsut doesn't compare at all to the GTO.

In the meantime, I'll be buying me somethign from an auction to pass the time and take the strain off the Ranger. Nothing too fancy or expensive, just a lil' something. And I'll be buying up stuff for teh GTO on credit...belive me it will be muther fuckin P-I-M-P PIMP.

So far, the start of my weekend ain't so bad...A friend of mine ('her') finally emailed me. No like I haven't been waiting to hear from her since 01.08 or anything.....which reminds me, maybe I should get back with her....Work was smooth, feelin good, gonna get a deal for an Alpine in dash DVD unit....oh man, my new car (whatever it will be) will be P.I.M.P.
