why don't you do somethin

Hope everyone had a good Memorial Day, remember all the soliders who have fought for our great country over the years. Too bad all it did was rain all day, kinda ruined the plans of spending the weekend in the sun, pool, and enjoying the outdoors. Had a cookout over at my sister's...the rain didn't really ruin those plans, as the grille was covered and stayed dry. The food wasn't the best, my brother-in-law and his father aren't the best BBQ'ers out there...but the food wasn't bad either. Food is food, right?

GTO fans, got the '06 GTO guide updated according to gmfleet.com. I'm gonna HAVE to get me an orange one, damnit...

::insert criticisim here::

Finally got around to updating not only the exterior section, not only the interior section, not only the links but ALSO the sound section for the Ranger. Can you belive it? I sure as hell can't...I still think elves did it while I was asleep last nite. Like those ones that made them shoes for that cobbler....but mine are wizards at HTML.

Next on the docket....the projects page. I'm sure most of those links are outdated, don't work, and I've got a few more to add. Maybe not so much as a "how-to:" section, but more of a this-is-what-I-did-and-what-it-took-to-get-there section. No holding your hand through the process. Why you might ask? Isn't that being stingy? Maybe, but mainly cause I rarely take pics while I'm doing something, I just find it easier that once I start something, the get it done. That, and I generally dislike "how-to:'s" with only a before and after pic or little more, I"m guilty of that myself. But feel free to contact me on any of the boards I hang out at, you can find them under the "links" link under the Ranger section over on the left...except RangerPowerSports, don't contact me there...I don't go there anymore. I'll give any additional help or pointers you might need for a project. Besides, figuring out how to do soemthing is half the fun. I know some people lack those skills, but....eh.

time to start the fire

Hey, I finally accoplished something I"ve been wanting to....I got my new GTO guide 'completed'. Since it'll be updated as new information is made avaialble, it'll never be done, unless the GTO is nixed that is. And I'll always try to be adding to it and making it better. I like the way it came out and will use the same concept for my ST guide...link, you want a link bitch? There, have your damn link....

Also moved forward some on the '66...got it sitting about where it'll be when all is said and done...the pics from yesterday were from just goofing around...I'd love to bag it and lay engine x-member...but not this ride, next projet though. Sorry, no pics...I'm a retard, but it sets real nice. There is a definate forward rake to it, but since the build-up style is neo-retro, it fits well. The mock up rear tires are almost the exact same height as the real tires, so that's good, but the front mock up tires are about 1" too short, which isn't that big of a deal since the front isn't dialed in yet anyhow, there is no weight up there, and we'll have to dial it in after the new engine and tranny are in. Also got the old exhuast, tranny, and driveshaft out. Noticed the front seal on the rear end was leaking...oh darn, guess I"ll ahve to use a late model Mustang rear end...

phase II complete, initiate phase III, phase III? IV? oh i forget phases...

Lookie what I got....

Unus

Tira
Quattor

Looks good, eh? I think so. FInally got the front wheels machined out to fit over the brake hat. I still have to take them off to paint the brake components...they look ugly right now, espically the rear drums. I'm really glad I waited and got the wheels I really wanted, even though they are only 17", cause not only are they uber unique on the east coast, but look kick ass too. I still want to get maybe 1 1/4" spacers for the rear, but at least they fit and work with no problems.

And just for shits and giggles, check out the old wheels on the '66..

Pretty cool, eh? The back end comes down tomorrow...and the old exhuast comes out as well.

I also saw Star Wars: Epison III Revenge of the Sith today. I'm not a huge SW fan, I like it and all, but not nut case for it...either way, the movie was pretty dang good. It really answered a lot of questions that two didn't answer and leading up into four. Yoda is a complete badass, don't mee with Yoda. Considering you know the basic plot and wahts gonna happen before you watch the movie, the details and specifics are left unknown, which makes it worth seeing...if you think you know, then you really don't. This movie is chock-full of irony, double crossings, and everything else that makes for good plot lines. Go, watch it, enjoy it, buy some popcorn.

Wowza whooie...got three of my four wheels installed and ready to go. My dad bought this rubber hone thing with some replacable 60 grit sanding pads so we could manually machine the wheels to fit on the front...it didn't really take long, maybe an hour and a half working off and on on it...but the important part is that the wheel is on. Truck looks awfully funny right now though, since I've still got one tire on the front, which is about 1- 1 1/2" lower then the 17" wheel/combo, so it squats a whole helluva lot to the drivers side. But the back has been lowered about 1" from where it was, maybe even a bit lower with all four mounted. But DAYUMN, the wheels look KICKASS on the truck. Nope, no pics...

pick up pick up pick up pick up

Yes, I know I have been gone for a while...but at least I 'cum' bearing gifts. Please excuse the B-class porn pun. I couldn't help myself. I shall go bow my head in shame.

So waht on Earth have I been doing? Well, nothing exciting, sorry to say, just spending money on things I shouldn't, so what else is new? I bought Forza Motorsport and have been spending a bit of time on that...it's a nicely challenging game, espically online, that will suck hours of your life away in no time. I like to think I'm fairly good at it, a win rate of >35%, and a podium rate of >75%, with over 250 races to my credit. Am I the best? Certainly not, but I can hold my own on the track, that's for dang sure. I think I need to start curbing my cursing.

I also bought this huge 1:6 scale '54 Chevy at Wal-Mart (none of my workers are nearly as hot as the linked workers...although the customers are, and hotter), it's done up like Jesse James' real '54, has working 'hydros' and everything. It's actaully pretty fun to play with...that is unti I fucked it up. I shorted something out on the main circuit board and the little POS won't do anything now. I have, of course, modded that heck out of the thing. I've given it a two-tone paint job, made it lay body, suicided the doors, and given it a much larger motor. I'm really jonesin' for a gas powered motor for this thing...how damn cool would that be? Have the onboard battery for the 'hydros' alone. I also need add a drag plate for real sparking action. Me thinks I need to fix it first...I sense a new circuit board in my future. Damn me and my luck. Pics? Of course pics. And some more, and one more again. Revel in it's dragging coolness.

Also been working on a GTO guide...the new GTO that is. You can check out a stripped down, not-quite-ready-yet version here.

A birthday is coming up...nope not mine, that was two weeks ago (and still haven't bought a single beer....) but someone I really care about....although I don't think she knows it. I just love times like these, good times...good times.

For any Ranger owners out there, check out www.rangerscene.com. It's a new ranger site for all years and all varieties...it's not like the ones you're used to...you know, the overly moderated and stifiled ones. Vist, register, rinse, repeat, enjoy. And speaking of repeated enjoyment, don't forget to go here. Can I stop kissing ass now?

*@&$!

Know what today was? My 21st birthday. Yup, sure was, now I"m a full fledged, legal adult. Do I feel any different? Nope, not a bit. Am I gonna go out and get trashed this weekend and puke in the back of the limo? Don't see it happening.

Strangest gift to date- a pea fowl. My parents gots me a pea fowl for my birthday. No clue if it's male or female, and no clue when it'll come in, as there is a minimum order of 4, and who knows when that'll happen. Hoping it's a male, that'd be kickass.
