i am a man

But I dress in pink.

Today was a good day. I got to ride in the Cobra. Yeah, the rest of the day is pretty much a blur.

I am doing some work on a new wallpaper...one inspired by a shirt at carsnotculture.com, shirt number two. It'll be a '65 Lincoln Continential Convert, but all lines and only a few colors. It's a little more difficult then it sounds, but I hope it comes out well. I bought shirt two and I think three from that site...as well as the magazine, let's hope it shows up. I'll be pissed if they don't.

I also updated my older xB wallpaper...nothign major, just bigger wheels, a little more negative camber. I think that's it. I may upload it anew...I still really like the wallpaper and think it's one of best, even if it was one of my firsts.

dear doctor:

This is the wrong leg.

I don't really have much to say I guess...I'm gonna go to Washington state for a funeral. I think it was my Great Aunt who died...but it's in a part of the state I've never been before, so I'm going. It'll be fun. My father and I are going.

So yeah, I'm tired and just wanted to post something new up.

i want some chocolates

No nuts, please.

My meeting/interview with the volunteer fire department went pretty well, I think. I represented myself as best and honestly as I could, I can only hope that who I am is what they want. I won't find out the status of my application until later...how much later? Your guess is as good as mine; one step at a time, one day at a time.

Finally, I repeat, FINALLY we're done with the move at work. I use the word "we" loosely; more like I'm done with the move. It's a four bay shop complete with office, and I bet I moved 90% of it comepletly or almost all on my own. And outside of the lifts, there isn't a single thing I didn't help move. I'm not complinaing, but a little appreciation or reconition is always welcomed. Eh, whatever...

So, I've got a delima....what should me next project be? I've got three main contenders right now: a '32 Ford two-door sedan, a '56 Porsche 550 Spyder, or a bobber. I know, I know, I always say lots of things about what I'm gonna do....well, I don't really have a retort for that. Asshole. Anyway...I'm leaning towards the '32 the most...although all would be kick ass in their own right...but I'm a hot rodder at heart, and I need my hot rod. The '66 isn't a true Hot Rod...

Speaking of the '66, here's an update: the front coilovers are mocked in, templates are made to smooth out the engine bay, the engine is torn down and will be getting bored .030", already got the pistons, just need the rings now. Gonna go with timing gears over a chain, cause they sound cool and work a lot better. Plus we had it at work and I can get a good price on it. So...yeah, that's what's going on right now. I guess I need to finish the body work.

And here are a few pics, no captions, figure them out on your own:

So...I may get the motor bored 30 over, get gear timing, port and polish the heads, and soem other stuff. I mean, why not? Right? The start-up time for the motor is getting pushed back further and further, but it'll be worth it.

Monday nite, I'm going to my first Volunteer Firefighter meeting. Hopefully, it'll be the first of many and be the stepping stone to becoming a carrer FF. I'm excited about this whole deal, no doubt, but also a bit worried; firefighting is a tough, dangerous job, but really, that just makes life worth living.

I'll tell ya, I look like I've walked through Harlem wearing a white hood and burning a cross...I'm bruised, battered, tired, and sore. All this moving at work is taking it's toll on me. I've done the vast majority of the moving. Sure I've had some help along the way, but there isn't a single thing that has been moved that I haven't touched. My biceps, thighs, knees, etc are yellow, black, blue, and purple.

And, in other news, There is a Silvia for sale....only $23,000. The thing is though that it isn't a Spec R, it's a Spec S....but...it is the Autech version, which is a tuned Spec S, all the goodies of the Spec R, but without a turbocharged motor; although the natural motor makes just as much HP. Will I get it? Uh...probably not, even if I did have the money, it's not quite what I'm looking for.

whore slut bitch

I'm in heaven.

I've been rebuilding the 302 I picked up. It's in more dire straights then originally thought...so the motor has to be rebuilt. Well...I've lost two lash caps and two pistons are cracked, so...I'm not done spending money yet. I may just spend the extra dough and build this motor up like I want. Of course, I still need/want a daily, so I'll be diving my monies up between the two.

One thing I won't be spending money on is an XBOX 360. I got one today, finally. It's the Premium Pack, or whatever they call the top on the line one. Also got the Play & Charge kit, and GRAW (Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter). Fun game so far, I'll get PGR: 3 soon as well...next pay day probably.
