i want some chocolates
No nuts, please.
My meeting/interview with the volunteer fire department went pretty well, I think. I represented myself as best and honestly as I could, I can only hope that who I am is what they want. I won't find out the status of my application until later...how much later? Your guess is as good as mine; one step at a time, one day at a time.
Finally, I repeat, FINALLY we're done with the move at work. I use the word "we" loosely; more like I'm done with the move. It's a four bay shop complete with office, and I bet I moved 90% of it comepletly or almost all on my own. And outside of the lifts, there isn't a single thing I didn't help move. I'm not complinaing, but a little appreciation or reconition is always welcomed. Eh, whatever...
So, I've got a delima....what should me next project be? I've got three main contenders right now: a '32 Ford two-door sedan, a '56 Porsche 550 Spyder, or a bobber. I know, I know, I always say lots of things about what I'm gonna do....well, I don't really have a retort for that. Asshole. Anyway...I'm leaning towards the '32 the most...although all would be kick ass in their own right...but I'm a hot rodder at heart, and I need my hot rod. The '66 isn't a true Hot Rod...
Speaking of the '66, here's an update: the front coilovers are mocked in, templates are made to smooth out the engine bay, the engine is torn down and will be getting bored .030", already got the pistons, just need the rings now. Gonna go with timing gears over a chain, cause they sound cool and work a lot better. Plus we had it at work and I can get a good price on it. So...yeah, that's what's going on right now. I guess I need to finish the body work.
And here are a few pics, no captions, figure them out on your own:
