ouch my nose...

Well, no new digi-cam, so no new pics, yet. Although I did attend a Sport Trac meet at a local dealership and I know some people grabbed some pics of a few things there...so I"ll have some up in a day or two of somethign or other.

The meet was pretty fun. Started out Friday nite at Pizza hut. Got some grubbin, met some folks, and generally just had a good time. It was nice to be able to put a face or two with the names you read on message boards. Everyone was real nice, not nearly as loud and obnoxious as my 'regular' friends, but we still know how to turn a resturant out and have a good time. After the meal (medium pepporioni and bacon, yum yum) we went out to the parking lot, BSed, but it was windy. SO a few of us took a side trip to a closed down movie theater parking lot to do a small engine mod to a buddies truck. Not sure exactly what was going..wasn't really paying attention and was two busy gabbing like a girl. Let's call it a nite, we all have to be up early tomorrow.

Saturday it is. My truck is nice and clean, wheels are bling (factory 15", hell yeah), paint is a nice orange/red mettalic with a hint of pollen yellow, and I'm ready to go. Get to the dealership and after a while, the folks start coming in. All total there were 25+ trucks, and 35+ people. People coming from all over the east and south east, Kentucky, South Carolina, Flordia, Tennessee, etc...not to bad for a meet that started with about 7 local people, 5 trucks 4 years ago on a blustry December day. There were just so many people to talk to that you couldn't get around to them all, which is really a shame. I mean, you go up to someone, start talkin, and before you know it, 30 mins have gone by...not complinaing in the least bit, but with 35 people, you end up missing a few. And all of them are worth talking too. The Ranger was a big hit (slight exaggeration, but it was a hit), folks loved the loweredness, and the seats, and the suede, and the grille. Spend about 5 hours at the meet before heading out. Got some redness, but that'll be a nice golden tan by the morning...sometimes I love being part Native American, lol. All in all I had a great time, as well I think everyone else did, can't wait to do it next time.
